Elyn Humphreys

Elyn Humphreys is a Professor in the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies at Carleton University. She leads the CUBiomet research group which studies soil-plant-atmosphere interactions in northern peatlands and tundra. Using micrometeorological techniques, Elyn and her colleagues and students measure energy, water and trace gas exchanges between the surface and the atmosphere to improve our understanding of water and carbon cycle processes and feedbacks between the biosphere and the climate system.
